Super Size Me
Everything I saw in the United States was not big, humongous, and what proved it was this movie, “Super Size Me.” Eating nothing but McDonald’s for 30 days straight is the concept of this movie and most people would probably think that the idea was nuts! Of course I was one of them but actually I was kind of interested to see what was going to happen. This crazy guy, Morgan Spurlock, really ate McDonald’s for 30 days and what he did was amazing! If I were him, I would probably give up so I was impressed by his spirit of trial. Overall, I want to say “good job!” to him.
The fact of obesity in the US is just surprising, 37% of Americans are carrying too much fat and 2 out of every 3 adults are overweight or obese. Fat people are rarely seen in Japan and I knew that there were a lot of fat people in the US, but still I was astonished. What is going to happen if the situation just goes on??? It is very scary just to think about it. So I think what Morgan did was really meaningful and made the world reconsider about eating fast-food regularly and also made the company reconsider having such huge portions of food. In fact, McDonald’s eliminated the super size from their choice after the movie went out which is good for them. He clarified to all Americans, all over the world, the things that would happen to those who love fast-food and just keep eating them. From now, I, myself, will watch how often I eat fast-food so I want you who are reading this posting to be careful, too! Not too much Mickey D’s!
By the way, the theme song of this movie, “Super Size Me” has been STUCK in my head. I was sick of it first, but now I like it and I find myself singing it anytime, anywhere. You can download it if you search for “Super Size Me” with your device which I suppose is illegal! But give it a try!! Lyric is funny, it goes: Super-size, super-size, the American way, throw it down, throw it down, all day everyday~♪♪ like this, and you can hear the rest when you download it.
